Flank Steak Marinade

Flank Steak Marinade

It’s been quite a while since we had a steak so I combined some ingredients we had on hand to make a very tasty flank steak marinade. I let the flank steak marinate for about 8 hours and it turned out really flavorful and we all thought it was delicious.

How to Make Flank Steak Marinade:

Ingredients:

  • Flank steak (or any other steak)
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/2 of a lemon, juiced
  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

Mix ingredients in a large Ziploc bag, add flank steak (or another steak) and marinate for 6-8 hours (or overnight).

Grill, broil, or pan fry steak to the desired degree of doneness. Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin slices.

Cook the remaining marinade in a pan until it boils for extra sauce. Drizzle the sauce over the sliced steak. Enjoy.

  1. Hi, it’s me again 😀
your marinade it’s wonderful. I used this to marinate a pair of pig’s cheeks, and it added a very good taste to them.
I’ve published the recipe in my blog.
Ps.1 – You have a lot of recipes that are tempting me 😀 😉
P.s.2 – Sorr if there are some gramatical errors in the text… is easier to me to translate english to spanish than the opposite.

  2. Hello, this looks yummy. I bought all the ingredients today and am going to make it tomorrow. I am going to try to broil it. I’m not the best cook so I’m crossing my fingers. Can you please tell me about how long I should plan on it being in the oven and at what temperature. Thanks!

    1. Lyn,

I would broil it for 5-6 minutes on each side for medium rare steak. Keep an eye on it though because a thinner flank steak will cook much more quickly than a thicker one.
