Spicy Honey Brushed Chicken Thighs

Spicy Honey Brushed Chicken ThighsI saw this recipe in my newest Cooking Light magazine and I couldn’t wait to make it. It was a simple and quick recipe with very little clean-up. The chicken turned out moist, tender, and so flavorful. I toned down the crushed pepper a bit so it wouldn’t be too spicy for the kids and they absolutely loved it. My husband and I both really enjoyed it too. I am looking forward to making this chicken again and again.

Season the chicken thighs evenly with the dry rub on both sides. Place thighs on the baking sheet. Spray each chicken thigh with cooking spray. Broil the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side.

Combine the honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well. Remove the chicken from the oven; brush the chicken thighs with half of the honey mixture. Broil for 1 minute.

Remove chicken from the oven and turn over. Brush the chicken with the remaining half of the honey mixture. Broil 1 minute or until chicken is done. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Enjoy.

  1. What if you dont have broiler? Can i bake it in the oven and get the same effect? Im sorry if this is a silly question, but I’m a new housewife that got thrown in the fire lol Not a cook at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    1. Ali,

If you have an oven, you more than likely have a broiler. Check your oven settings for the broil setting (it’s usually near the bake setting). If not, you can try baking the chicken at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until the chicken has cooked through. I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Pam

  2. I made these chicken thighs last week and they were so good! My oven has a broiler, but it is broken, so I baked for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Thanks for the recipe!
