I am back from my vacation…

My family and I just spent the last two weeks on the road in Idaho.  We headed out of town at the end of June to visit my husband’s family’s farm that turned 100 years old this year.  We enjoyed visiting with the family and seeing how much all the kids have grown.  We then headed to Boise to stay with my sister and her family.  We celebrated my nephew’s birthday and my birthday, we visited our dear friends, ate at a few of our favorite restaurants, and we relaxed by my sister’s pool.  Next, we headed to my parent’s place where my sisters and I threw a 50th wedding anniversary party for our parents.  We had 60+ people show up to help celebrate with them… it was a wonderful party!  We then headed to my father-in-law’s cabin in the mountains for a couple of days of pure quiet and relaxation.  We ended our vacation in McCall at my mother-in-law’s home.  We celebrated my son’s 7th birthday and enjoyed spending time in our favorite town.  It was a whirlwind trip and full of wonderful memories.  As much fun as it was it is REALLY good to be home!

I’ll be back to cooking tomorrow.

  3. Welcome back. Isn’t it nice to take a vacation from the blogging and digital world? It’s also so nice to eat out and to not have to photograph food for a week or two.

Congratulations on making the top 100!
