Cocoa Fudge Cookies

My daughter started cheerleader camp today so I decided to make some rich and decadent cookies for her to come home to. I found this Cooking Light recipe on MyRecipe that looked perfect.  These cookies couldn’t have been easier to make and both of my kids ABSOLUTELY LOVED them!  They were also a big hit for dessert tonight and my husband loved them too.

How to Make Cocoa Fudge Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with a silpat mat.

Combine the flour together with the baking soda and salt; mix well.  Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl; add the sugars, cocoa, and vanilla then mix until well combined.  Add the yogurt and mix.  Slowly add the flour mixture to the cocoa mixture until well combined.

Place spoonfuls on the silpat mat about 2 inches apart.  Place into the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.  Remove from the oven then let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes.  Move the cookies to the wire racks to finish cooling.  Serve with ice-cold milk.  Enjoy.

  • cup of brown sugar
  • cup of white sugar
  • cup of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  1. I used to make these years ago, when they first showed up in Cooking Light. I had forgotten about them! Don’t know why–they are so good, and easy (and “light”). I’ll have to make a batch soon.
