Another Kitchen Mishap…

… Well, it looks like I’ll be taking a few days off from blogging. I cut my thumb terribly last night and spent the evening in the emergency room. Luckily, I only needed four stitches but I won’t be able to do much with my right hand for a few days. I’ll be back to cooking and blogging as soon as I can.

  1. The hazards of cooking! Oh…I’m so sorry, Pam! I hope you heal quickly and are back in the kitchen cooking up delicious recipes soon!

  2. So sorry to hear about your accident…same thing happened to me a couple of years ago and while I recovered completely, I never realized how inconvenient it could be.
    HOPE IT HEALS SOON!

  3. Oh Pam, so sorry. Get well soon, sharp knives in the kitchen are a blessing but need to be treated with care. I am also telling myself that as well!! Diane

  4. Hello Pam
So sorry to hear about your mishap. Use the time to rest as much as you can and trust you will heal very quickly.
    Blessings

  5. I think you wealth of recipes will suffice while you totally recover the use of one of the most important digits on the hand. Umm, have fun thumbing (groan) through periodicals in a more leisurely way than usual. Just take it easy.

  6. Be careful; heal up well. Let your daughter play in the kitchen, just not with knives. I know the ER is not a fun place to pass an evening.

  7. Oh I am so sorry to hear about your thumb! About three years ago I cut off the tip of my left index finger with a huge santoku knife. The doctor sewed it back on, but it’s still numb. Went I first got to the emergency room, they told me to sign in and take a seat. Then I reached in my purse, held up the plastic bag with the cut off finger tip and asked if they wanted to put it in the refrigerator. That got me right on in to see a doctor!!
