Vacation Recap

What a fun and busy two weeks we have had. We traveled down the road in our motor home to attend  my cousin’s wedding celebration in Idaho. It was a beautiful day and so much fun visiting with my mom’s side of the family from Missouri along with my immediate family.

My cousin’s wedding celebration ~ Bellevue, Idaho

I loved being with my family & all of the beautiful horses

We then headed to Utah with my sister’s family to play at the Lagoon Amusement Park. We had so much fun cruising the park, riding scary rides, facing fears, eating at an In and Out Burger and gobbling up the best mole sauce at The Red Iguana. We had two full days of crazy fun then headed back to Boise to hangout with family and friends.

In Boise, we launched rockets with my husband’s brother and all the neighbor kids loved it! We visited the Discovery Museum with my husband’s father and brother well as my nephews. We were treated to an amazing dinner at Barbacoa by my brother in law Brooks. We went out to dinner with two of our favorite friends but sadly forgot the camera. We also celebrated my nephews birthday with a pool party and rc racing.

Good times in Boise, Idaho

We stopped by my husband’s other brother’s house for a quick hello before heading down the road to McCall to see my husband’s mom and stepdad. We enjoyed time launching rockets, doing glass fusion, baking with grandma, and being with each other.

We met up with two of our best friends and their kids for some camping. We had so much fun hanging out together, playing games and badminton, floating the river, fishing, talking, playing with tadpoles, riding bikes to the lake, and playing by the fire. It was an amazing time with four of our favorite people.

We headed back to town and spent the evening of the Fourth having dinner with my in laws and lighting off fireworks. We headed back down the road to head home the next morning. It was another whirlwind trip and so much fun. Now if only my mountain of laundry would be done!!!

  1. Visiting with family, kids to water park, horses, camping – sounds like a very busy but perfect vacation. You guys obviously know how to spend you leisure time and expose your kids to a variety of activities.

  2. A wedding for the girls, an amusement park for the young and young at heart, family, friends and horses. Sounds like a perfect vacation!

  3. What a fun vacation! We were gone too, but down south to St Augustine, FL. Our beach condo had a washer/dryer and Alexis did NOT want to face that laundry dilemma so we (she) did laundry the night before we left. Not sure which is worse, facing the laundry when you get home or DOING laundry on vacation. I’m taking disposable clothes next year, ha ha.
