Bacon Boursin Green Beans

Bacon Boursin Green Beans

I saw this recipe for bacon boursin green beans on The Endless Meal and how could I possibly resist? I couldn’t. My son is a huge fan of Boursin cheese and I knew he would love this side dish and I was right. We all, even my daughter who isn’t a fan of cheese, loved these green beans.

How to Make Bacon Boursin Green Beans

Place bacon in a sauté pan over medium heat and cook until it is cooked and crispy. Place on paper towels to drain then crumble; set aside.

Drain all but 1 teaspoon of the bacon fat from the pan. Add the green beans to the pan along with 2 tbsp of water. Cover the pan with a lid and let it steam for 5 minutes, until crisp-tender.

Remove the lid and sauté the beans for about 2 more minutes. Add the Boursin cheese to the pan and toss to coat. It should melt fairly quickly.

Season the beans with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste then top with bacon crumbles and little bits of extra Boursin cheese. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

  1. Boursin is amazing stuff but I haven’t had it in maybe a year. Never thought to throw it in with green beans but will try that. My favorite is either stuffed into a roulade, in a cheese sauce for steamed veggies, or in mashed potatoes…..or in a pinch straight off of the spoon 🙂
