My son LOVES pumpkin butter so I decided to surprise him by making some homemade spiced pumpkin butter. This seriously couldn’t have been easier to make and it tastes fantastic! Both of my kids thought it was delicious and they want it on their waffles tomorrow morning for breakfast.

How to Make Spiced Pumpkin Butter

Combine the pumpkin puree, maple sauce, apple juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger together in a saucepan.

Cook on medium-low heat for 25-30 minutes or until thick. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.

Place into a glass jar and keep in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can of pumpkin puree **NOT pumpkin pie filling
  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp real maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • tsp salt
