Berry Banana Smoothie Bowl
I was recently sent two bottles of R.W. Knudsen Family Just Juice – Just Blueberry and Just Cranberry. I have been a a big fan of R.W. Knudsen Family juices since I first tried them several years ago. Their juices are always delicious, have no preservatives, no artificial flavors, and they are a part of the Non-GMO project, which I love! The two juices they sent me are 100% pure juice with no sweeteners added.
I decided to make a breakfast smoothie for my kids this weekend using the new juice. Instead of putting the smoothie in a glass with a straw, I decided to put it in a bowl with a spoon. A Smoothie bowl is a fun and different option for breakfast, especially for my kids. I sprinkled some coconut, berries, and kiwi on top then let my kids sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips themselves before gobbling these berry banana smoothie bowls right up. I used Just Blueberry for these smoothies and it added such a nice blueberry flavor and beautiful color to these smoothie bowls. My kids both loved these tasty breakfast treats and I love that my kids got a huge dose of fresh fruit, blueberry juice, and Greek yogurt. I’d call that a win/win situation! I’ll be making a Just Cranberry and a fresh raspberry smoothie for my breakfast tomorrow morning and I can’t wait. Thank you R.W. Knudsen Family for my Just Juice!
How to Make a Berry Banana Smoothie Bowl
Combine the ice cubes with Just Blueberry juice, Greek yogurt, banana, blueberries, raspberries, and agave (or honey) in a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and add more agave, if needed. Pour into bowls. Top with coconut, fresh berries, kiwi, and mini chocolate chips on the side, if desired. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
We love smoothie bowls. Yours sound delicious, and are beautiful!
What a clever idea to put the smoothie into a bowl
I’ve never heard of smoothie bowls, Pam, what a great idea, so creative:) I can see the kids wanting to dig in!
I’m a huge fan of R.W. Knudsen spicy tomato juice. The difference in other brands is amazing! We buy the cherry juice and cranberry too.
I’ll have to remember a smoothie bowl. I bet Marion would LOVE it too. This afternoon I gave her a bowl of freshly made yogurt with dollops of home made strawberry jam and she LOVED it! I actually used Fage as my starter yogurt for the new batch. It was the first time because I usually use yogurt from the previous batch but Marion raiding the fridge and there wasn’t any left, lol…(have you ever made yogurt?)
Thanks for sharing, Pam…
Such a nutritious and tasty creation!
It looks and sounds delicious pam and so healthy!!
Cheers,
Lia

You’d have to love it just because it looks so good! I love the colors, and I”m sure the flavors are wonderful.
What a great idea and fun for the children. I am a fan of this type of juice also – no preservative, 100% juice and no sugar.
I am so excited for all the fresh spring produce that’s available right now, especially FRUIT. It has me in the mood to eat smoothie bowls all the time!
