Taco French Bread Pizza

Taco French Bread Pizza

It was one of those days. I had a lot going on and not a ton of energy for dinner. I grabbed some French bread hoagie rolls, ground beef, and an avocado from the store and threw together these taco French bread pizzas. The flavor combination was awesome and I loved the crispy on the outside but soft on the inside French bread, along with the flavorful beef, salty cheese, and spicy salsa. While my daughter prefers regular crusted pizza, the rest of us thought these taco French bread pizzas were super tasty. This was a fun and easy meal that I put on the table in under 30 minutes – I love that!

How to Make Taco French Bread Pizza

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with tin foil.

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes. Add the ground beef, making sure to break it up into crumbles with the spatula, as it cooks. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, coriander, and oregano to the beef along with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste. Cook until JUST cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Spoon the beef onto a plate layered with a paper towel to drain any excess grease.  Set aside.

Cut the hoagies in half lengthwise then coat each of them with a thin layer of refried beans. Spoon the beef and onion mixture evenly on top of the hoagies halves. Top with shredded sharp cheddar, black olives, and diced tomatoes.
