Pear Sauce

  • 5 Bartlett pears peeled, cored, and diced
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


  • Place the diced pear in a sauce pan over medium-high heat with the water, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover with a lid and simmer, stirring occasionally until softened, about 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and blend with an immersion blender (or blender) until smooth and creamy. Serve warm or cold.
  • Store sealed in an airtight container in the refrigerator or a week. Enjoy.
