Ingredients

bing cherries
pitted
½
cup
water
⅔
sugar
2
tbsp
cornstarch
1
tbsp
fresh orange juice
1
tsp
orange zest
¼
tsp
vanilla extract
Instructions
Combine the pitted cherries, water, sugar, cornstarch, and orange juice & zest together in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook, stirring often, for 15 minutes.
Add the vanilla extract, if using.
Cool slightly then serve over ice cream. Enjoy.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
