Dog Treat Silicone Molds
Ingredients
1cuppumpkin puree**puree NOT pie filling
½ cup + 2tbsppeanut butter**Side Note:Make sure the peanut butter you use doesn’t have Xylitol in it. It’s a sweetener used in many foods, including peanut butter, and is safe for humans but potentially deadly for dogs. If ingested, it can cause seizures, liver failure, and death, warned one animal hospital, which called xylitol “extremely toxic” to dogs.
¼cupcoconut oil, melted
½tspground cinnamon
Instructions
Combine the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, melted coconut oil, and ground cinnamon together in a bowl until very well combined.
Spoon the mixture into the silicone dog treat molds until they are filled to the top.
Tap the silicone trays lightly on the counter then scrape the top of the mold with a rubber spatula to remove any excess from the top.
Place the silicone molds into the freezer on a flat shelf for 3-4 hours.
Remove the pumpkin peanut butter treats from the silicone molds and store the frozen treats layered in parchment in an air-tight sealed container in the freezer or in a sealed large freezer zip-lock bag.
