Caramelized Ham & Swiss Sliders

  • 6 dinner rolls split
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Ham to taste
  • 3 slices of Swiss cheese cut in half
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of garlic powder to taste
  • Dash onion powder to taste


  • Combine the warm melted butter with the Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk well; set aside to allow the flavors to mingle.
  • Spray a cast iron skillet with olive oil cooking spray. Set aside. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  • Split the roll into two halves (top & bottom).
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the rolls, to taste.
  • Place some ham on the bottom halves of the rolls then top with some Swiss cheese.
  • Replace tops and place in a single layer in the cast iron skillet.
  • Whisk the melted butter combination until thick and well combined.
  • Brush mixture over the rolls.
  • Cover with foil and bake covered for 20 minutes, remove foil and bake 5 more minutes.
  • Remove and serve immediately. Enjoy!
