Ingredients
3lbsripe pears, peeled, cored, and diced(about 5 large pears)
3-4tbsphoney, to taste
1tbspfresh lemon juice
1tspground cinnamon
¼tspground ginger
¼tspsalt
Pinch of ground nutmeg, freshly grated
Pinch of ground cloves
Instructions
Combine the diced pear, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and nutmeg together in a saucepan over medium-high heat until boiling.
Reduce heat, cover partially with a lid, and cook, stirring often, for 50-60 minutes.
Place into a blender (or use a hand immersion blender) and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a canning jar, seal, and refrigerator until ready to use.
Side Note: If your pear butter is too runny, feel free to simmer the mixture longer on the stove to allow it to reduce more.
