Ingredients
Peanut Butter Batter:
¾ cup + 2tbspflour
⅓cupbrown sugar
1 ½tspbaking powder
¼tspsalt
½cupmilk
1large egg
½cupcreamy peanut butter
Chocolate Batter:
¾ cup + 2tbspflour
½cupbrown sugar
⅓cupcocoa powder
¼tspbaking soda
¼tspbaking powder
¼tspsalt
½cupsour cream
¼cupvegetable oil
1large egg
1tspvanilla extract
¼cup chocolate chips(for sprinkling on top of batter right before baking)
Instructions
Peanut Butter Batter:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a loaf pan with cooking spray.
Make the peanut butter batter by combining the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl; stir until mixed well.
In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, and peanut butter; whisk very well until creamy and smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined. Set aside.
Chocolate Batter:
Make the chocolate batter by combining the flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl; stir until mixed well.
In a separate bowl, combine the sour cream, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract together; whisk very well until creamy and smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined.
Pour the chocolate batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth it out with a rubber spatula.
Pour the peanut butter batter on top of the chocolate batter.
Use a table knife to gently swirl the two batters together.
Sprinkle the top with chocolate chips right before baking.
Place into the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
