Restaurant Style Salsa

  • 1 14.5 oz can whole tomatoes with juice
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 1/4 onion, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 jalapeno, diced
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Juice from half a lime
  • 1/8 tsp oregano
  • 1/8 tsp cumin
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of sugar, to taste


  • Combine the whole tomatoes, Rotel tomatoes, onion, green onion, cilantro, jalapeno, minced garlic, lime juice, oregano, cumin, sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste, and a pinch of sugar in a food processor (or blender).
  • Pulse until you get the consistency you prefer, about 15 pulses. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Place into the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes prior to serving. Enjoy.
