Weekend Getaway
I flew into Boise on Thursday afternoon to surprise my oldest sister, Dana, who turned 50 that day. My brother-in-law threw a big surprise party for her and we all had a fun evening together celebrating my awesome sister. The following day, the birthday girl, her best friend, my other sister, Leslie, and I all drove to McCall for a fun weekend getaway. We all got facials and massages, had delicious meals out, and spent Saturday afternoon making mosaics together.
On Sunday, after a delicious breakfast, we headed down the road back to Boise. Unfortunately, we had car problems, so we spent a couple of hours on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck (who got lost on his way to find us). Thankfully, We managed to get to Boise in time for me to make my flight home.
To make the crazy day a little crazier, I was stopped by TSA agents because they found something peculiar in my purse. After, doing some careful searching, they found some powdered grout that I brought home from making our mosaics. Sadly, my dark charcoal-colored grout looked a lot like gun powder or something else that could be dangerous. They had three agents view it, then did some chemical testing on it, and after a bit of a wait, determined, it was in fact, just grout. Thankfully, the TSA agents were the nicest of gentlemen and never made me feel like a criminal–they also let me keep my grout!! 🙂 It was a whirlwind trip filled with fun times, lots of laughs, and a little bit of chaos. Hope you had a great birthday weekend Dana– I love you!!!
