Frozen Watermelon Dog Treats

Frozen Watermelon Dog Treats

These frozen watermelon dog treats are probably my dog Grace’s very favorite treat that I’ve made for her so far, although, I think I say that every time. She LOVES watermelon and having it in a “pupsicle” form makes her very happy on these hot summer days. These frozen watermelon dog treats are so easy to make and take only a few ingredients. I blended some seedless watermelon and Greek yogurt together and planned on adding honey but the watermelon was so sweet I didn’t need to use any. I froze the blended liquid in cute little silicone dog treat trays but ice cube trays work well too. Grace was absolutely thrilled with these tasty frozen watermelon dog treats and she looks pleadingly at anybody who opens the freezer door.

How to Make Frozen Watermelon Dog Treats

Combine the chunks of seedless watermelon and Greek yogurt in a blender; cover with a lid and blend until smooth. Taste and add a bit of honey if it’s too tart then re-blend.

Place the silicone trays on a baking sheet then pour watermelon juice into molds or ice cube trays.

Place in the freezer for several hours, or until frozen solid. Transfer the frozen watermelon dog treats to an airtight container and store them in the freezer. Enjoy.

  1. Grace has such a sweet face! Honestly, those treats sound good enough for me to want! Thatcher does love just plain chunks of watermelon, but he hates anything frozen. He actually runs away if anyone opens the freezer.
