Large skillet
Ingredients
2tbspbutter, divided
½smallred onion, diced
4ozbutton mushrooms, sliced
Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
8ozharicot verts**If you use regular green beans, you will need to cook them a bit longer
2tbspwater
1-2tspRanch dressing seasoning powder
3tbspfried onions, toasted until golden brown
2tbspbacon bits
Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and mushrooms, and cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Season with a bit of sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste.
Remove from the pan to a bowl and set aside until needed.
Place the green beans in the same skillet with 2 tablespoons of water and turn the heat up to medium-high.
Cook, stirring occasionally until the green beans are crisp-tender and the water has evaporated, about 3-5 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and onions back to the skillet along with the last 1 tablespoon of butter and the ranch seasoning.
Stir to coat evenly, then taste and add more ranch until you get to your desired flavor level. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 minutes.
Pour onto a serving plate and top with the toasted fried onions and bacon bits. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
