Make the marinade by combining the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and white pepper; whisk until well combined.
Marinate the shrimp by pouring half the marinade over the thawed shrimp and letting it marinate for 20-30 minutes. Set aside the reserved marinade for later use.
Remove the shrimp from the marinade and shake off excess liquid. Place on a few paper towels to pat dry. Discard marinade.
Cook the shrimp by heating the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the hot skillet and sear on one side for 1 minute, then flip and sear the other side for about 45 seconds. Remove from the skillet.
Cook the sauce by adding the reserved marinade to the hot skillet and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring often, for about 2-3 minutes, or until reduced and thickened.
Add the shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the sauce.
Serve the honey garlic shrimp over steamed rice, then top with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy.
