1cupcreamy peanut butter, at room temperature Make sure the peanut butter you use doesn’t have Xylitol in it.
Instructions
Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees. Line a heavy baking sheet with parchment then coat with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, parmesan cheese, and baking powder. Stir in the broth and peanut butter until the mixture forms a crumbly dough. Press the dough together to form a ball.
On a lightly floured work surface, knead the dough for 30 seconds until smooth. Roll out the dough into a 10-inch circle, about 1/2 inch thick. Using a dog treat cutter, cut out bones and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake until lightly golden, 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
Side Note:Make sure the peanut butter you use doesn’t have Xylitol in it. It’s a sweetener used in many foods, including peanut butter, and is safe for humans but potentially deadly for dogs. If ingested, it can cause seizures, liver failure, and death, warned one animal hospital, which called xylitol “extremely toxic” to dogs.
