Ingredients

of sugar
**Use less if the berries are really sweet

cornstarch
Zest and juice from ½ a small lemon
16
oz
of fresh strawberries
cleaned, hulled, & quartered
Instructions
Heat the water, sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, and juice in a large saucepan over medium heat, whisking until well combined.
Add the sliced strawberries and stir often, mashing some of the berries, for 7-10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy.
