Mixed Berry, Banana, and Yogurt Smoothie
I made these mixed berry smoothies for my kids’ after-school snacks since it was 80 degrees here in Portland today. After all the rain we’ve been having it was wonderful to have a warm and sunny day! It was a great way to use up the bananas that were extra ripe. It was also a super healthy treat and it cooled my hot kids right down. A delicious smoothie always tastes good after a long day of school! The kids happily gobbled down their drinks before we headed to the creek to play in the mud. Good times!
How to Make a Mixed Berry, Banana, and Yogurt Smoothie
Place the strawberries, bananas, frozen mixed berries, ice, honey, and yogurt into a large container. Blend the mixture using an immersion blender until creamy and smooth. Serve with a strawberry garnish and a straw. Enjoy! If you don’t have an immersion blender a regular blender or food processor would work great too.
Equipment
Ingredients
- Handful of fresh strawberries
- 2 very ripe bananas
- 1 cup of frozen blueberries blackberries, and raspberries
- 1 cup of crushed ice
- 1 cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1-2 tsp honey depending on how sweet the fruit is
Instructions
- Place the strawberries, bananas, frozen mixed berries, ice, honey, and yogurt into a large container. Blend the mixture in a blender or with an immersion blender until creamy and smooth.
- Serve with a strawberry garnish and a straw. Enjoy!

I can’t believe I’m saying this already but I long for 80 degree days! It’s in the high 90’s here and it’s even reached over 100 a few days.. summer is definitely here! This is the perfect way to help stay cool on days like that! YUM!
This sounds really good. I will have to make some when Norm gets home.
I’ve never even thought to try making a smoothie with my immersion blender. That’s a great tip that I will probably try soon, just to see how it works for me. Thanks!
