Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Donuts
These irresistible cinnamon sugar pumpkin donuts are loaded with fall spices, covered in a cinnamon sugar coating, and so easy to make!
I surprised my kids and husband with these baked cinnamon sugar pumpkin donuts for a recent breakfast and they were thrilled. I used a recipe I found on Baker by Nature that was quick and simple to make. Since the donuts are baked, their texture is more like a muffin than a fried donut and you feel much less guilty eating them. These donuts were a big hit with my family and they disappeared quickly.
How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Donuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a donut pan very well with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves together in a bowl; mix well.
In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, and melted butter until well combined.
Place the mixture into a large zip-lock bag. Cut off the corner and pipe evenly into the donut pan. Side Note: The Mixture is very thick.
Bake in the oven for 11 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove the pan from the oven, and let rest for 5 minutes before placing the donuts on a wire rack.
Make the cinnamon sugar by combining the white sugar and cinnamon together; mix well.
Dip both sides of the donut in the melted butter then coat it in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place on a serving plate; repeat with the remaining donuts. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
