  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1-1½ tbsp smoked paprika, to taste ***For a more subtle smoke flavor, use half regular paprika/half smoked
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp kosher sea salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½-1 tsp cayenne pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp cumin

How to Make a Smoked Chicken Dry Rub

Combine the garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, dried thyme, onion powder, sea salt, chili powder, freshly cracked black pepper, cayenne pepper, and cumin in a small glass jar; seal with a lid and shake to combine.

Store smoked chicken dry rub in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months. Enjoy.
