Ingredients
Fran's Simple Vinaigretteto taste (click the link above for the recipe)
¼cuppecan halvestoasted
4cupsof mixed greens
½applepeeled & cut into matchsticks
2tbspgorgonzola crumbles
Freshly cracked pepperto taste
Instructions
Make Fran's Vinaigrette–click the link for the recipe; set aside to allow the flavors time to mingle.
Toast the pecans by placing the nuts in a dry skillet over low heat and toss every few minutes until lightly browned and toasted. Be careful not to burn them. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely.
Prepare the salad by placing the mixed greens in a large bowl.
Top with toasted pecans, apple matchsticks, and gorgonzola crumbles.
Drizzle some of the well-whisked vinaigrette on the salad, to taste; toss to coat evenly then serve immediately. Enjoy.
