Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips and Toasted Walnuts

Ingredients
1cupof flour
¾tspbaking powder
½tspbaking soda
¼tspsalt
2very ripe bananas
1egg
¼cupof white sugar
¼cupof brown sugar
½tspcinnamon
¼tspnutmeg
⅛tspground cloves
¼cupmelted butter
½tspvanilla extract
½cupwalnut piecestoasted
½cupof mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8½-inch loaf pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl and mix thoroughly; set aside.
In another bowl, mash bananas, egg, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, butter, and vanilla together, then mix thoroughly.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well. Once the batter is well combined, add the chocolate chips and toasted walnuts, then stir. Side Note: Toast the walnuts in a small dry skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently for 3-4 minutes, remove from the heat to cool completely.
Pour ingredients into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven & let cool for a few minutes before cutting.
Serve while it's warm, slathered with butter. Enjoy!
