Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch springform cake pan.
Make the cake
by beating together the bananas, white sugar, and brown sugar with a mixer until combined.
Add the oil, eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and orange zest; beat until creamy and smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well.
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Place into the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a wooden skewer is inserted in the center and comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 15 minutes before moving it to a rack to cool completely.
Make the frosting
when the cake has completely cooled by combining the cream cheese, softened butter, and vanilla extract.
Beat with a mixer until creamy and smooth.
Add the sifted powdered sugar and mix with a rubber spatula making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl.
Spread the frosting thickly on top of the cake and decorate the top with walnut halves. Slice and enjoy!
