Instructions
Prepare the marinade by combining the olive oil, basil, garlic, lemon zest, sea salt, and freshly cracked black pepper to taste in a large zip-lock bag and mix well. Add the white fish and squish it around to coat the fish.
Refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes and up to 4 hours. Side Note: Only add the zest for marinating; you'll add the lemon juice later.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Spray a small baking dish with butter or olive oil cooking spray.
Prepare the fish for baking by adding the lemon juice to the fish in the bag. Combine ingredients well, then pour into the baking dish.
Season the fish with a little more sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then add bits of butter on top of the fish.
Cook the fish by placing the baking dish in the oven to bake for 10-12 minutes per 1-inch thickness, or until just flaky.
Garnish with chopped parsley, lemon zest & lemon slices. Enjoy.
