Pita Pizza with Spinach, Mushrooms, Onions, and Fresh Tomatoes

Ingredients
1tbspolive oil
Handful of button mushroomssliced
1cupbaby spinach
Pinchof crushed red pepper flakes
Sea salt and freshly cracked pepperto taste
1cloveof garlicminced
1whole wheat pita
Marinara sauceto taste
Mozzarella cheeseto taste
Sweet yellow onionsliced thinly, to taste
Fresh tomatosliced
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with a bit of cooking oil.
Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes.
Add the spinach, crushed red pepper flakes, sea salt & freshly cracked pepper, to taste, and minced garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
Spread the desired amount of marinara on top of the pita then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Spread the sautéed mushrooms and spinach evenly over the pizza. Add the raw onion slices.
Place into the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and top with fresh tomato slices. Slice & serve immediately. Enjoy.
