Combine the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, and cracked pepper in a large zip-lock bag. Seal and shake to mix thoroughly. Add the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 2 hours up to 24 hours.
Remove the meat from the refrigerator at least 20 minutes before grilling it.
Preheat the grill pan over medium-high heat and coat it with cooking spray.
Once the pan is hot, add the flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired degree of doneness, according to a meat thermometer.
