Soy and Honey Marinated Flank Steak

I adapted a recipe I found on Simply Recipes for soy and honey marinated flank steak. The marinade was a snap to put together and made the flank steak taste extra flavorful and delicious. I love the combination of soy, honey, garlic, and red wine vinegar. The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and it paired nicely with some cheesy potatoes and roasted green beans. I used my grill pan because I was feeling lazy, but I am certain this steak would be amazing if grilled.
Soy and Honey Marinated Flank Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of flank steak
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- Sea salt, to taste
How to Make Soy and Honey Marinated Flank Steak
Combine the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, and cracked pepper in a large zip-lock bag. Seal and shake to mix thoroughly. Add the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 2 hours up to 24 hours.
Remove the meat from the refrigerator at least 20 minutes before grilling it.
Preheat the grill pan over medium-high heat and coat it with cooking spray.
Once the pan is hot, add the flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired degree of doneness, according to a meat thermometer.
Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain. Enjoy.

Made this for dinner tonight. Was going to grill the steak, but laziness set in and ended up using a grill pan. It was perfection! This flank steak recipe is now in permanent rotation! Couldn’t have been any easier or delicious. Thanks again for your amazing blog.
Have you ever or would you ever do this with salmon instead of steak?
Jen,
I think it would be tasty! Let me know how it turns out if you give it a try.
