Teriyaki Pork Chops

I bought some thick-cut pork chops and decided they would taste great grilled, so I made this teriyaki pork chop recipe. I’ve never made teriyaki sauce before and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. My husband did an excellent job of grilling (like always), and we were all pleased with the result. These teriyaki pork chops were tender, moist, and full of flavor, and paired nicely with vegetable noodle stir-fry, spicy edamame, and roasted broccoli.
Teriyaki Pork Chops
Teriyaki Sauce:
- ½ cup soy sauce
- Juice and zest of one navel orange
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 green onions, diced
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
How to Make Teriyaki Pork Chops:
Make the marinade by combining the soy sauce, orange juice & zest, honey, toasted sesame oil, green onions, garlic, and ginger in a large zip-lock bag. Add the pork chops and marinate for at least 1 to 24 hours.
Let the meat sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before grilling.
Grill the pork chops by heating a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Add the pork chops and grill for about 8-10 minutes.

Flip over and grill for 8-10 minutes (1¼-inch thick cut chops), or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees is reached on a meat thermometer.
Rest the meat for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy.

Those look delicious! I learned to make teriyaki by mistake thinking orange, soy sauce and brown sugar would taste good and i realized it tasted just like chinese food. 🙂
I’m always on the lookout for grilling recipes at this time of year, as it is just too hot to cook indoors. Good job.
That sounds quick and easy. I’m always looking for an easy pork chop recipe.
Those look good. Teriyaki is one of my favorite ways to add some flavour meat but I have not tried it with pork chops yet.
