Creamy Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Creamy Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

My kids have been on a ranch dressing kick lately so I decided to make my own version here at home and adapted a creamy buttermilk ranch dressing recipe from Eating Well that looked and sounded delicious.  I adapted it by using white balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, onion powder, a pinch of paprika, and adding fresh basil.  This easy homemade ranch dressing recipe turned out creamy, tangy, and delicious and tasted especially good on our tomato stack salad.

  2. I have been on the hunt for a delicious, homemade ranch dressing- it looks like I found it! 🙂

  3. I’ve made homemade ranch from time to time.. I need to do it more… Chris can go through a big bottle of it in less than two weeks… he’s probably worse than any kid! lol I love the additions you used… I bet it was amazing!

  4. My sister is completely obsessed with ranch. When we were little she ate it on cold pancakes! (She’s wonderful, even if she’s a bit crazy 😉 ). I’m seeing her this weekend and perhaps we’ll make this. So fun!

  5. You know, this isn’t all that much different than the Alabama white sauce for BBQ chicken and that just inspired me. I like my ranch thicker (1:1 ratio of buttermilk to mayo) but yours would ROCK if I dipped some almost finished BBQ chicken into it and then back on the grill.
