While we were in Idaho, my husband celebrated his 30th high school reunion with his old classmates. On our last evening together, we all gathered aboard a party boat for appetizers, cocktails, and a cruise around the lake. The boat’s bar had a special Huckleberry vodka cocktail that was refreshing, pretty, and so delicious. After getting home from a long road trip, unpacking & cleaning the motor home, doing loads of laundry, and picking up groceries in 95+ degree temperatures, I felt we deserved a treat so I made some huckleberry coolers. This delicious (and low guilt) cocktail is super easy to make, tastes wonderful, and is so refreshing on a hot day – cheers!

Beautiful pinky colour and bet it’s very refreshing!
The drink looks refreshing and perfect for the weather you’ve been having. I’ve never drank huckleberries but we sure enjoyed them in milkshakes and pancakes a few years ago in Montana.
That hue of pink is just amazing! SO PRETTY! Sounds like a nice, refreshing drink — thanks!
That is a very refreshing drink. Never heard of huckleberry vodka, so I will have to look for it. Sounds good/
I’m so glad you had a wonderful vacation! Your drink is very pretty, and I’m sure it’s just what you need during these hot summer days.
Never heard of Huckleberry vodka but I guess any Vodka will do. It sounds yummy. Cheers Diane
Love how pretty in pink this is! It took me so long to realize that huckleberries and blackberries are one and the same lol.
Huckleberries are very different from blackberries. Huckleberries grow in higher altitudes up in the mountains. I grew up picking them every summer in northern Idaho. They look like small blueberries 🙂
Thank you, Pam, for this refreshing drink. I am looking forward to giving a try to the Huckleberry Vodka this summer.
that color simply could not be prettier! i didn’t know huckleberry vodka existed. interestingly, my brother was just in montana and he picked a small basket full of huckleberries and was told it would go for $60 at a farmer’s market! didn’t know they were so pricey!!
100% recommend with blue ice huckleberry vodka or 44 north huckleberry vodka.
I agree! I really love 44 North Huckleberry Vodka.
I was the bartender on the lake cruise you are talking about!! The huckleberry vodka drink was my own creation, and you did a wonderful job at recreating it.
So glad the cocktail left such a memory. Makes me so happy you can now enjoy it in your own home.
How cool is that!?! Thanks for being a great bartender–everyone had such a terrific time. Your huckleberry coolers are the best. Cheers!
