Roasted Bone-In Chicken Breast
I think this is the best roasted bone-in chicken breast recipe because it only uses a few ingredients, dirties only one pan, and couldn’t be easier to throw together. I like to buy bone-in/skin-on chicken breasts because I think it makes the juiciest & most flavorful roasted chicken, plus it’s usually more economical. Roasting one or two breasts makes for a terrific and simple family meal or you can cut up the breast any way you like and keep it in the refrigerator to use in different meals throughout the week for casseroles, soups, salads, sandwiches, and Mexican food, etc.
How to Make Roasted Bone-In Chicken Breast
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Pat your chicken breast dry then season both sides of the breast with sea salt, freshly cracked pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, to taste.
Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Place directly into the HOT skillet skin side down, and cook for 4 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and flips easily. Flip the chicken over and place it into the preheated oven.
Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the breast reads 165 degrees.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing & serving or storing. Enjoy.
