Chicken and Cilantro Potstickers
We had friends over for dinner recently and my girlfriend brought some frozen chicken and cilantro potstickers. My daughter loved them so much she kept asking my friend to make more. I decided to try my hand at making my own version of these potstickers and I am so glad I did. These babies took some time to make but they were worth every minute! served these potstickers with homemade Potsticker Dipping Sauce and an Asian Noodle Salad. This meal was a big hit with the entire family and I know it will be a regular on our table from now on.
How to Make Chicken and Cilantro Potstickers
Make the potsticker dipping sauce; set aside for flavors to mingle. Click here for the recipe.
Boil the water and pour over the sliced cabbage to soften. Drain excess water from the cabbage and put it into a food processor. Add ground chicken, cilantro, green onions, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and fresh ginger. Pulse mixer until thoroughly combined.
Spread out the potsticker wraps and scoop a small teaspoon full of filling onto the center of each wrap. Wet the top of each potsticker wrap with a baster brush dipped in water.
Fold the potsticker to make a moon shape and pinch shut with 4 to 5 pleats along the side. Really make sure they are sealed, so the filling doesn’t fall out.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a nonstick pan. Once hot, potstickers and cook until the bottoms are golden brown. Add 1/3 cup of water and cover with a lid. Steam for 4 minutes. Repeat with the remainder of potstickers. Remove from heat and serve with a dipping sauce.

I just purchased some chicken/cilantro pot stickers from a large retailer. It was my impulse purchase as they weren’t being sampled that day. Can’t wait to try those then try your recipe. Thanks!
What wonderful pot stickers! Picture perfect ! A question … when I went to the dipping sauce recipe I saw a link in comments that took me (I thought back here), but no … it went to manage foods.com. Is this another of your sites or are your posts being nabbed and published elsewhere? Just wondering (and watchdogging a bit)…
Susan,
Yes, it’s a person stealing my photos, words, and recipes so their site can make money. Unfortunately, I deal with this way too often! Thank you so much for letting me know!
Pam
Beautiful! Food can be such art, especially when so much love and time goes into preparing it. Brava!! Keep up the great work on your blog – I always enjoy reading it.
Awesome! Love how good and delicious looking they have turned out!
I LOVE potstickers! These look amazing, Pam!
Super delicious and fabulous combination pam. I have lots of these wraps frozen and waiting to be used and just loved this combination.
Cheers,
Lia.

Quite a bit of work but woth it in taste. So much better than store bought.
We LOVE potstickers. You’re so smart to make your own. My family would gobble these up, for sure! Thanks Pam.
These would probably freeze well, wouldn’t they?
Nestra,
I have never tried freezing my pot stickers but I am sure it would work just fine. If you do it, please let me know how they turn out.
Cheers,
Pam
I freeze pot stickers all the time, they are good for 3-4 months, keep longer if vacuum wrapped
They look awesome Pam
OMG! These are devine! Pam – I always follow your blog (I’m in Ontario, Canada) and often take your “unusual” apps to my weekly girls-night, these were a HIT! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh man these look SO good!!! The perfect party food! You got my stomach grumbling and growling right now… and it’s only 9am!
i’ve never made or eaten pot stickers but you’ve made them look really appealing! cilantro fan for life. 🙂
This sounds really good!
These look so delicious and fresh looking! I have pot stickers on my to-make list.
I love potstickers!! Your homemade filling sounds so yummy.
It’s been too long since I’ve made pot stickers. This version looks easy and delicious!
These pot stickers are a big hit in our dining table since I started making them 2 days ago and last night.
Don’t you love recreating things like this! They look beautiful and I would love to try them soon. Great flavor combo. Pinned!
Pinned it! I can’t wait to try these, I just need to find round wrappers again. All of the places around here just like to sell the square ones which don’t look pretty like the round ones.
This reminds me of argentinian “empanadas” if you like i can send the recipe to you! Love your site greetings from Cordoba, Argentina.
Yummy! I’ll make this soon.
Wondering where you get potsticker wraps I have never seen them anywhere, usually I make my own dough but these would make the process much faster if I want to make some up quickly
Barb,
You can find them in most grocery stores in the produce section next to the tofu. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Pam
Do you pre-cook the ground chicken or does it cook in the skillet once inside the pot sticker? I am new to making these 🙂
Tara,
You don’t pre-cook the chicken. It cooks in the skillet once inside the pot sticker. Good luck & I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
Pam
Made these tonight for the first time and they were a hit! The filling was slightly bland so next time I have to add salt or something. The dipping sauce also didn’t taste right so I had to buy some at my local Chinese restaurant. However, I will make them again! The whole family helped and we really, truly enjoyed them.
when I look for the wraps, do I just ask for “pot sticker wraps”, or does it have another name? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Tammy,
They will usually say Gyoza wraps.
