Why did it take me so long to go to Canada? What an amazing country! We were lucky enough to be travel companions with our dear friends, Jake, Currie, Jack, and Nick, for the past two weeks camping our way through Western Canada. Currie, a former travel agent, planned the most amazing adventure for all of us. We started out in Whistler, went to Lake La Juene near Kamloops, white-water rafted down the Athabasca River in Jasper, saw the glacier icefields on the way to Lake Louise, and ended our journey in Banff. We did so much, saw so many beautiful sites, and had the absolute best time. The first part of our trip was pretty smokey due to terrible forest fires in the area, but we didn’t let it deter us from having an incredible time. We all (adults & kids) fell in love with the mountains, rivers, lakes, and people of Canada. We ended the journey in Silverwood, Idaho for a day of theme park rides and water slide fun! What a wonderful trip filled with memories we will all cherish forever. Thank you SO MUCH Currie for planning this epic adventure!

I spent yesterday doing 11 loads of laundry and today sorting through photos. I’ll be back to cooking and posting recipes tomorrow.
Well, Pam, your pictures are just wonderful. They remind me of our pictures……can’t wait to see it again. Normally, I see what you are cooking, but your Canadian vacation pictures drew me right in. Hubby and I always talk about how turquoise the water was that had melted from the glaciers and into the rivers and streams. What a fabulous trip you must have had! Thank you for posting them. Dezi
Wow, these are incredible! I have only been to the east cost of Canada (Nova Scotia), which is also beautiful, but I do love the mountains more. I am putting these places into my travel file, thanks! Totally worth 11 loads of laundry; we camp, too, I know that drill!
