Blackened Seasoning Blend
I like to make seasoning blends and dry rubs with my spices instead of buying them from the store because it’s less expensive and it’s a great way to use up lesser used spices that I have in my spice drawer. When looking online for a good blackened seasoning recently, I found one on The Wicked Noodle that sounded terrific and had great reviews. I halved the recipe, used a bit less cayenne pepper and added a bit of cumin, garlic powder, and white pepper to the mix. I really love the smokey spicy kick this blackened seasoning blend gives to fish (and other seafood), chicken, pork, and veggies.

Sounds very good Pam – I like the smoked paprika and cumin in it.
