Simple Lemon Vinaigrette
This simple lemon vinaigrette is healthy and so delicious. It uses pantry items like fresh lemon juice, good olive oil, and minced garlic and it brightens up almost any salad. My family really likes a tangy vinaigrette so I add a lot of fresh lemon juice but you can always adjust the amount if you like it less tangy. I sweeten this vinaigrette with honey but white sugar or agave also works. I made a delicious mixed greens salad for lunch recently which I tossed with this simple lemon vinaigrette and my husband & I thought it was very tasty and full of flavor.
How to Make a Simple Lemon Vinaigrette
Combine the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, honey, and sea salt & freshly cracked pepper, to taste, in a small jar. Tightly seal with a lid and shake vigorously. Set aside for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to mingle. Shake very well before drizzling on your salad and serving. Store leftovers in the tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator.
