Thousand Island Dressing

Thousand Island dressing isn’t just for salads! My family mainly uses it on Reuben sandwiches and burgers, but it’s also a great dipping sauce for steak fries, tots, or onion rings. I made this easy Thousand Island dressing recipe from Simply Recipes, and it turned out tangy, sweet, and delicious.

Thousand Island Dressing

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1½-2 tbsp ketchup, to taste
  • 2 tbsp yellow onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • Sea salt, to taste

How to Make Thousand Island Dressing:

Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, minced onion, sweet pickle relish, lemon juice, paprika, and sea salt to taste in a small dish.

Whisk until well combined.

Cover and refrigerate until needed. Enjoy!

  1. Looks good Pam. We like to make our own as well and with corned beef day coming up I need to be sure we have some for the reubens.

  2. I’ve been making TI dressing for years, and this recipe is very similar. I add horseradish to give it a little bite, and mix dill and sweet relish to add that briny quality.
