Testing, Testing… is anyone out there?

Well, I think we have finally gotten through the tough, frustrating, and stressful portion of changing the website.  The problem was with the hosting company I was using.  Although they were really nice, helpful, and courteous, they just weren’t able to make my site run smoothly.  They kept shutting down my website, I had posts that were lost, and I have had SEVERAL readers not be able to view updated posts, some since January 27th.  After trying everything, I finally decided to move to a different hosting company that is able to handle my site (fingers crossed).

I couldn’t have gotten through this difficult and stressful time without the help and support of the most amazing web designer out there – Lindsay from Purr Design.  This woman went above and beyond for me and I truly can’t even imagine where I would be right now if it weren’t for her knowledge, help, and fantastic customer service.  If you are ever in need of a web designer, look no further, because Lindsay, in my opinion, is the BEST!

I have a favor to ask of you.  If you were having difficulty seeing my new posts, or could only view new recipes when you hit refresh, please comment and let me know if this testing post came right up for you.  It would really help us out to know if things are back to normal.

Once again – thank you so much for your continued support and patience through this difficult transition.   If all goes well tonight & tomorrow, I will be back to posting on Friday.

  3. Hi Pam! I just wanted to let you know that I have been receiving all of your updated posts on my blogger dashboard. I have not noticed any glitches on my end.

If you don’t mind me asking,, what hosting company were you using and what are you using now? Was is wordpress? I am only asking because I may switch down the road and don’t want to make that switch if the hosting company is no good.

Fingers crossed that this one works out for you!

  8. All working fine – I recently discovered your blog on a recipe Google search and have tried several – wonderful stuff! I didn’t have any problems before but this is sure slick! Thanks for spending the time and I look forward to more great recipes and hints!

  9. Your website has been working fine for me and my roommate, Katie Skoglund, all year. We look forward to many dinner parties to come where we, and all of our friends, can celebrate with your recipes! We love your blog 🙂

  10. I was definitely having issues viewing new posts before, but this came up just fine. Can’t wait until everything is back running like normal. Good luck!

  11. I wasn’t able to access your site since January, either. Then the Feb 8th post kept coming up. I refreshed today and got the latest entry. Good luck!

  12. Still having to hit refresh to see current entries – I have Internet Explorer 9. I have another computer with an earlier version of Internet Explorer (8) and do not have to hit refresh to see the latest entry. Must be that pesky version 9 causing the chaos. (A computer guru suggested I download Firefox to solve the issue.)

  13. I have been unable to view your new posts since Feb. 10th. I did not know about hitting the refresh button and as I just tried it your newest recipe is up! This has been a re-occurring thing since your switch over to your new and beautiful website that is much easier to navigate through. I will now hit the refresh button- problem solved.
Thank you for your great recipes. I have made several of them and they are wonderful.
