Caesar Salad with Homemade Garlic Croutons
I was so excited about the Creamy Caesar Dressing that I couldn’t wait to make a big Caesar salad to go with it. I used fresh crisp romaine lettuce, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and homemade garlic croutons to make this salad extra delicious. I loved everything about this Caesar and look forward to featuring it more often in my house now that I have found a healthier version of the dressing.

Prepare the Creamy Caesar Dressing – click the link for the recipe.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
Cut the bread into small cubes. Drizzle the garlic olive oil all over the bread then add the minced garlic and season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste. Toss to coat evenly with your fingers. Pour the croutons onto the baking sheet. Place into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Cool and store in an airtight container until you use it.
Place the romaine in a large salad bowl followed by the grated Parmesan and cooled garlic croutons. Drizzle with the creamy Caesar dressing and toss to coat evenly. Serve with extra lemon wedges, if desired. Enjoy.

Hi Pam. We are HUGE fans of the classic Caesar Salad, and despite the unhealthy ingredients in the dressing, I tend to make it quite often. I am hyperventilating here with this new recipe you posted for the lighter version of dressing. I cannot wait to try this! CAN’T wait. Did I say that? Bookmarked, and ready to try. Let me just say thank you now, cuz I know you, and you loved it, so I will too.
XO KRis
Love this! I’ll definitely have to stop up on some romaine lettuce so I can make this soon!
Pam, Excellent salad’healthy and yummy!
Love garlic croutons, roll on summer so we can have salad. My husband is not a salad eater, but I can generally convince him that it is good on a hot summers day. That is if there is no lettuce in it which is classed as rabbit food! I usually make salads with spinach, chard and rocket or other fancy greens. Keep well Diane
Perfection! Simple, delicious and I love that you made your own croutons!
Perfect….your garlic croutons…yum. I am happy to find a healthier version of the Caesar dressing. I love the salad and can now make it more often!
i have a salad almost every day for lunch, so i’m always desperate for new salad ideas to switch things up. this looks like just the thing!
Loving those croutons, Pam! This salad sounds delicious.
That last photo is so great, love all the colors. The salad looks delicious also 🙂
a good salad truly is all about the dressing.
those photos Pam!
excellent!!
I never liked Caesar salad much, until one time my husband took me to a restaurant where they made it tableside – rubbed garlic in a wooden bowl, added anchovy paste, the fresh egg yolk – turns out I had just had shitty Caesar salads before that one!
I have a house full of men who would love to have those croutons on pretty much any salad or soup!
One of the few ways I actually enjoy lettuce is with caesar dressing and croutons…such a great starter salad!
I love Caesar Salad and this with garlic croutons is yummy!!

such basic ingredients, yet they come together so magically!
Caesar salads are one of my favorite salads, that musty bite of the dressing and crispy Romaine always make me want a second bowl.
