Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce

Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce

I’m so glad I finally tried making this homemade cinnamon applesauce recipe. I can’t believe how simple it is and how happy it made my children. I cooked the apples for a little longer to ensure the applesauce would be smooth when blended. This homemade cinnamon applesauce had a nice sweet/tart flavor with a texture that was smooth and creamy.

  1. I love applesauce. I used to make it with apples from our trees when the kids were younger and would gather basket upon basket of apples. Sometimes I”ll leave the skin on a couple to turn the applesauce pink, and it looks really interesting.

  2. I love making applesauce. If you don’t have a rice cooker/steamer get one! I bought my Sunbeam at GoodWill for $5, it’s my best friend. I love the fresh flavor of steamed vegetables, and I can hard boil eggs in 20 minutes. Steel cut oats in an hour. Applesauce in 20 minutes. White rice 20 minutes, brown rice in 50 minutes.

  3. Made your applesauce. Quick and delicious. I had some apples in my fruit drawer in the fridge and used those. Came out fantastic. I didn’t have any lemons so I left it out and the applesauce was still great. I will make this again. It’s a quick way to use up leftover apples.
