Buffalo Chicken Sliders
This recipe is a result of me being super lazy and not wanting to go to the grocery store. I looked through the refrigerator and pantry to find something for dinner. Luckily, I had some dinner rolls, chicken breasts, blue cheese dressing, and hot sauce. I served these buffalo chicken sliders with a green salad and oven-baked sweet potato fries. It was a super quick and easy meal to throw together during the week and we all thought these sliders were tasty.
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders
Cut the thin portion of the bottom couple inches of the chicken breast off. Cut each remaining portion of the chicken breast in half lengthwise.
Place the 6 chicken pieces into a large zip lock bag and pour the hot sauce over the top. Seal and mix until the chicken is evenly coated with the hot sauce. Place into the refrigerator for 6-8 hours.
Once you are ready to eat, remove the chicken from the refrigerator 20 minutes prior to cooking it. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the skillet with cooking spray then add the chicken pieces to the HOT skillet, then season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste, if desired. Cook for 3-4 minutes then flip over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until chicken is completely cooked through.
While the chicken is cooking, warm up the dinner rolls in the oven for a few minutes.
Place a piece of the lettuce on the bottom half of the dinner roll followed by a piece of chicken and a dollop of blue cheese dressing. Top with the remaining half of the dinner roll. Serve immediately with extra hot sauce on the side. Enjoy.
So much flavour and goodness inside a bun Pam!!!
Looks really good for a throw together meal.
They do look yummy. Hope you are well Diane
Great idea for an “I-really-don’t-want-to-cook” night! I made something similar the other night, but minus the buffalo sauce and plus a lot of cheese, but I made the rolls. It beat going out in the cold.
Yes, I’m back again, Pam. When I saw Buffalo Chicken Sliders on the menu I just had to pop by for a bite and a pin, lol…
Thanks for sharing…
Oh how cute and it sounds like the perfect dinner.
Great dinner made with what you had on hand! I’m making a big effort to use what I have and go to the store less often. It really saves money…
This looks like a very tasty meal, Pam. Sometimes we need to improvise with ingredients we already have 🙂
I love meals that come together like this!
These sliders look out of this world! I need to make some buffalo chicken ASAP.
those rolls are massive! i wonder what makes them old-fashioned? great dinner option, for sure. 🙂
Buffalo chicken rocks my socks!
