Weekend Away

My sister Leslie just turned 50! To celebrate, my sisters and I headed to Lincoln City for a weekend of beachcombing, seafood eating, cocktail drinking, and relaxing. We stayed at Mermaid Cove, which was adorable and had terrific ocean views. We were treated to blue skies and 70 degree weather on Friday and enjoyed every second of it! We spent the morning at the Newport Aquarium then on to lunch, beer tasting, and shopping. We ended the day by beach combing, watching seals swim, and enjoying the sea air and beautiful views around our condo rental. The following day was quite foggy and cool but we still managed to walk another beach in hopes of finding some agates. Later, we did some shopping before having a delicious dinner and a few tasty basil martinis. Although it was a quick trip, it was a much needed getaway. Thanks for the fun times Dana and Leslie!
