Comfort Food Cravings
We just got back from another trip to Idaho, this time to pack my mom up and move her closer to my older sister. It was an exhausting and emotional weekend–hard to say goodbye to the house she and my dad shared for the last 20 years, but we are so happy she will be closer to family now.
Since it’s election day here in the United States, I decided to gather together some of my most recent comfort food cravings. I hope you find a recipe (or two) that your family will enjoy. I’ll be back to cooking tomorrow.
Pasta Carbonara with Bacon and Peas
Basil Garlic Chicken Breasts with a Tomato Basil Sauce
Slow Simmered White Bean and Ham Soup
Roasted Butternut Squash, Kale, and Quinoa Salad with Balsamic Glaze
Slow Roasted Tomato Orange Soup with Pesto
Toasted Ham and Brie on a Baguette with Fig Jam
Warm Spinach Salad with Sausage and Potatoes
Herb Marinated Chicken Parmesan
Herb Pork Chops with Caramelized Shallots
Mediterranean Roasted Potato Salad
Open Faced Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich with Basil Aioli
Fettuccine Alfredo with Button Mushrooms & Spinach
Kale Salad with Roasted Beets, Pepitas, Currants, Pickled Onions & Feta with an Orange Vinaigrette
It’s definitely the season for comfort food! Lotta wonderful choices here — thanks.
These all look delicious but since it has turned a bit chilly, the soup recipes look especially good.
