Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich
Egg and turkey bacon breakfast sandwiches are quick, easy and so tasty. I made this tasty treat for my husband this morning and he left for work a very happy man.
Egg and Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich:
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of turkey bacon (or regular bacon)
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp water
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese (I use sharp)
- 1 English muffin
- 1 tsp mayonnaise (optional)
Cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, remove from heat, and drain on a paper towel.
Heat the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Crack the egg and break the yolk then season with salt & pepper to taste. Cook for 1-2 minutes then flip the egg and add cheese to the top. Add water to the pan and cover with a lid for 1 minute or until cheese melts. Side Note: You can also leave the yolk whole if you’d prefer a yolky sandwich. Yum!
Toast an English muffin and add mayonnaise (if you like), bacon, and finally the egg with cheese. Top with hot sauce or eat as is. Enjoy.
I have been making em for years, I sometimes use fake eggs and non-fat cheese to make them even better for ya! I send John off to work almost every morning with one. They are good with bagels too and butter. I call them Cheryl McMuffins, LOL
I’m not surprised your hubby left the house a happy man! This happens to be my favorite breakfast and I would eat them everyday if I could get away with it!
This reminds me of Starbucks’ hot breakfast sandwich,
But yours look way better!
nothing else is needed. a comprehensive breakfast.
but i insist on real bacon.
Now that is a nice looking breakfast!
