Banana, Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip Muffins
I had a few very ripe bananas to use up so I decided to bake my kids some banana, strawberry, and chocolate chip muffins. The muffins smelled AMAZING while baking and they tasted moist and delicious. I loved the combination of flavors–chocolate, strawberries, and bananas are a match made in heaven!
Banana, Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip Muffins:
Ingredients:
- ½ cup of butter, softened
- ¾ cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 overripe bananas
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 10-12 fresh strawberries diced, divided
- ½ cup of chocolate chips, divided
How to Make Banana, Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip Muffins
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a muffin pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar with a hand mixer until creamy. Add the eggs, bananas, and vanilla then continue beating until well combined.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together, mix well.
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and stir until just combined. Add most of the diced strawberries and most of the chocolate chips then gently mix them into the batter.
Spoon the batter evenly into each muffin tin. Place the remaining strawberries and chocolate chips on top of each muffin.
Place into the oven and bake 18-20 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool on a rack. Slather with butter and enjoy!

Hi Pam,
Your recipes have a fruits and vegetables. A good way to serve healthy meals to family. Enjoyed your blog. Thanks.
Thank you for this delicious recipe! I just made these and they are AMAZING! I omitted the chocolate chips (although I know they’ll make them even better!) and used 1 cup whole wheat flour/1 cup white flour. With these modifications these muffins come in at 4 WW PP which is really good for a delicious muffin. The recipe made 18 muffins. Such a great way to use up bananas and strawberries instead of tossing! Next time I’ll try all wheat flour and I bet they’ll be just as good! Thanks again, this is absolutely a keeper!
These were absolutely delicious… a truly awesome recipe. Thanks!! I used millet flour to make it gluten-free. To make it vegan, I used Egg replacer for the eggs and Earth Balance for the butter. Yummy.
